PowerObjects is Now the HCL Microsoft Business Applications Practice

Drumroll please!

In today’s blogpost, we want to share some exciting news with our faithful readers…

Effective immediately, PowerObjects is rebranding as HCL's Microsoft Business Applications Practice (MBAP).

Please note that from the perspective of our blog readers and website visitors, not much is really changing. Most importantly, we will of course continue providing the channel’s most-read blog!

We’ll get to the changes you might actually notice, but let’s start with an explanation of why this rebranding is occurring.

A Brief History of PowerObjects

For a couple of decades now, PowerObjects has been 100% focused on Microsoft Business Applications, offering solutions that help organizations increase productivity, streamline business processes, and build better relationships. That commitment has never wavered – and it isn’t changing now!

Along the way – in 2015 to be precise – we were acquired by HCL Technologies as part of an HCL objective to strengthen its capabilities with respect to the Microsoft technology stack. As a multi-year award-winning Microsoft partner, PowerObjects immediately bolstered HCL’s Microsoft-related offerings. In fact, based on the reputation and elevated status of the PowerObjects brand within the Microsoft channel, HCL initially retained the name. Thus, PowerObjects slowly underwent a mere “soft rebranding,” operating under the name you have come to know in the last few years: HCL-PowerObjects.

Since that acquisition, the PowerObjects business has expanded globally into many large commercial and public organizations and industries already served by HCL. So, with our business now more tightly aligned with HCL, it makes sense for our customers to know us as we now are: HCL.

Why It Makes Sense

Working under one umbrella strengthens our MBAP and the broader HCL organization. As we continue to serve our customers on their Digital transformation journeys – with not only BizApps but also the wider Microsoft stack, including Azure and Modern Workplace – it is critical that we collaborate on their behalf so they can take advantage of the entire Microsoft Cloud, not just one part of it.

Because of that coming together, what you once knew as PowerObjects is now stronger than ever. If you thought our blog was a critical resource of relevant, timely Microsoft technology information before… just wait until you see what’s in store moving forward! After all, we’re now tapping into the full resources of one of the world’s largest and most successful technology companies.

What’s Changing

Like we said, from your perspective, not much. Our website and blog URLs will remain the same – you’ll simply be auto-redirected to the HCL Technologies website. You may notice a different color palate and new fonts (brand standards are a big deal for our website team!), but the content – the information you came to us for – will remain unchanged.

The fundamental change you will notice is the absence of the name PowerObjects. But rest assured, HCL’s MBAP is indeed synonymous with PowerObjects, because we still have all the same people with all the same expertise and the same commitment to excellence in the Microsoft Business Applications space!

What’s NOT Changing

As stated above, the essence of what made PowerObjects so successful for two decades remains unchanged:

  • Our team: you’ll still work with the exact same people you’re working with today!
  • Our expertise: as our organization grows, so do our capabilities!
  • Our fanatical focus on Microsoft Business Applications: just like always, we’re 100% focused on partnering to drive customer outcomes with Microsoft Business Applications, as well as offer the channel’s most-valued source of best practices, hints, tips’n’tricks, and coding workarounds!

So, just one more for old-time’s sake… Happy PowerObjects’ing!
