PowerObjects, a Division of HCL Technologies, is seeking an Orientation Manager to join their award winning and growing team. The Orientation Manager is responsible for the PowerObjects orientation process, including oversight and development of onboarding programs for all new joiners to the HCL-PowerObjects team around the world. This role manages the global onboarding team and develops training programs, oversees program execution, as well as providing in-person training and mentoring to program participants.

Essential Functions

  • Responsibilities include oversight of global onboarding team
  • Own the HCL-PowerObjects “orientation process” including overseeing the development of training programs pulling together resources from HCL and PowerObjects to accelerate time to productivity and maximize time to impact for new joiners in each unique geography
  • Work closely with global team leaders to identify onboarding needs and ensure they are addressed by onboarding program(s)
  • Reporting Manager for onboarding team seated in United States and India
  • Lead the onboarding team in regular review of onboarding program content to determine outdated or low-quality content that needs to be refreshed and work with subject matter experts from teams across PowerObjects to ensure quality
  • Liaise regularly with PowerObjects Talent Acquisition and HR teams to maintain onboarding schedules and pipeline across geographies
  • Liaise with US based PowerObjects Internal Support team regularly to ensure smooth and timely delivery of hardware and software for day of joining
  • Facilitate continuous improvement of onboarding programs that promote employee engagement with company culture, guiding principles and provide a culture of empowerment for new talent across geographies
  • Develop and deliver education content for programs including presentations and written resources to support the education of new talent
  • Own iSuccess compliance reporting for HCL-PowerObjects line of business
  • Oversee continuous improvement of constantly evolving business processes related to onboarding new joiners into multi-geography and complex internal systems environments at HCL-PowerObjects
  • Communications and Change Manager for PowerObjects
  • Working experience with internal team managers on change initiatives within the organization
  • Delivery of effective change management communications (planning and execution)
  • Final QA review of POTeam communications and myPO.com content
  • A solid understanding of how people go through Change and the Change process
  • An additional area of responsibility will be to contribute to the team and transfer knowledge
  • Participating in daily and weekly team meetings by actively listening to issues, problem solving and contributing ideas
  • Teaching internal PowerU sessions as needed by the team
  • Knowledge of Human Resources best practices
