HCL-PowerObjects Featured in Microsoft’s Partner Success Stories

Post Author: Joe D365 |

Microsoft maintains a catalog of Partner success stories to showcase how its partners are helping clients grow their businesses with solutions built on Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. As a longstanding and award-winning Microsoft Partner, HCL-PowerObjects’ client success stories are certainly not new to the Partner Story catalog, but it’s always an honor to again be included and recognised.

Most recently, our work with AB InBev was featured on Microsoft’s Power Platform partner site. In this blog post, we’ll share some insights about this cool story!

AB InBev is a multinational drink and brewing holdings company based in Leuven, Belgium. The company produces, markets, distributes, and sells a portfolio of nearly 500 beer brands in over 100 countries. It has brewing operations in both developed and developing markets. The company classifies its business operations into 6 geographic segments: North America, Middle Americas, South America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Africa. It is the world's largest brewer and is considered one of the largest fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies in the world with a 28% market share.

AB InBev, a long-term Microsoft client, chose to implement Power Platform as their strategic application development platform. In doing so, they specifically appointed HCL-PowerObjects to develop a Power Platform Centre for Enablement (C4E), including a full governance structure and programme.

Designing and Implementing an Enterprise C4E

Like so many enterprise organisations, AB InBev was using thousands of custom legacy applications built on a variety of technology platforms, with no strategic application development platform for either personal productivity or pro-level developers. Realising it needed an experienced partner to make the implementation successful, AB InBev turned to HCL-PowerObjects, a global system integrator (GSI) and ISV with strong Power Platform expertise. In effect, the HCL-PowerObjects team implemented technical, application, support and education processes to facilitate the new collaboration and innovation AB InBev were hoping to foster. Ultimately, HCL-PowerObjects’ AB InBev work focused on five key areas:

  • Full infrastructure build of Power Platform C4E
  • Assessing AB InBev's current Power Platform suite of applications
  • Implementing complete governance structures and processes
  • Retrofitting their existing Power Platform applications into the newly established structure and processes
  • Educating Power Platform users and developers

This was just another success implementation in a long line of exciting case studies. The full AB InBev story is well worth your time. You can read it here, on Microsoft’s site.
